International logistics giant Pall-Ex recently celebrated five years of its Polish operation with a network-wide conference and awards ceremony. The event was held at Hotel Rubin in Lodowa and was attended by key members of staff and its entire Polish membership.
The palletised freight distribution network has spent the last few years establishing itself as the quality network of choice in Poland and has invested heavily in market-leading technology to support its growing country-wide membership and customer-base. Their growth recently triggered a move to a new location in Łódź to better support the increased freight volume that the network has witnessed.
Pall-Ex moves over 360,000 pallets annually in Poland, with thousands of pallets passing through the main hub every night – a huge increase from the 81 pallets it handled on its first night of operation. Earlier this year network celebrated its millionth pallet passing through the hub, a huge milestone for the business.
As a pallet network, Pall-Ex relies on its members – established local hauliers – to collect and deliver freight in their local area, with the Polish network looking to recruit several strategically placed members in the next 12 months to support their ambitious growth plans.
Mark Steel, Managing Director – International Business Units at Pall-Ex Group comments:
“Pall-Ex is becoming a more prominent figure in Poland, it was fantastic to celebrate our members’ achievements over the last 12 months, and set some objectives for 2023 and beyond.”
During the anniversary celebrations, Marks Logistyka took home the coveted Member of the Year prize as voted by the other network members, with Jakub Podgórski, Network Manager, winning Pall-Ex’s Employee of the Year award.
Piotr Kołtuniak, Managing Director for Pall-Ex in Poland, comments:
“From the very beginning, we wanted to create an innovative network in Poland that incorporated members working together to share objectives and collaborate as a single entity.
“It was great to see all the members come together, especially after the last few years of online meetings. Congratulations to all the staff and members who won awards, it was fantastic to see so many people from around the network championing Pall-Ex and supporting our goals for the future.”
The business looks to make a promising start to 2023 with Service and Compliance Director Paulina Sikora recently joining the senior management team. With over ten years of experience within pallet networks, Paulina looks to instill the sector-leading compliance and quality excellence that Pall-Ex Group is renowned for throughout Europe.
